Welcome To Chocklabs!

Northern Michigan Labrador Retrievers, (near Traverse City) in Williamsburg. Our (Kennel) and the dogs we breed are family pets. We are not into volume so we have at most 1 - 2 litters per year. We do not breed for family pets, we breed with the intention to keep puppies for our breeding program. Our main goal, as a LABRADOR BREEDER, is to produce a well-rounded, loving and loyal companion.

Our selective breeding program provides quality, solid, and sweet tempered LABRADOR RETRIEVERS meeting the breed standard thus providing you with an addition to the family with a long tenure. and complying to the AKC Breed's Standards (OFA)(CERF) (OFEL) (PENNHIP) (OPTIGEN TESTING)

These gentle dogs trace their origins back to St. Johns region of Newfoundland, Canada.  Labradors are a strong built medium sized, short coupled dog possessing a sound, athletic conformation to enable it to function as a gun dog, quality to win in the show ring and a gentle temperament to be a family companion.

Their coat is short and dense having a hard texture look/feeling and a soft, weather-resistant undercoat. A slight wave down the back is permissible. Colors are solid black, yellow (light cream to fox red) and chocolate (light to dark).

Temperament is kind, outgoing, tractable nature, eager to please, non-aggressiveness towards humans or other animals, loving, affectionate, easy to train willing workers.

Size ranges from 21 1/2 to 24 1/2 at the shoulders. Weight: 55 - 80lbs.

If you were interested in purchasing a special puppy, we would love to hear from you

Thank you Jo Morris
